Keith Mitchell is proud to be a founding member of VOX BOX Arts Collective. He is an Emmy Award winning television art director, designer and artist. Recent work includes short films, Lesster directed and starring, Felicity Huffman, Second Line, directed by, and starring, Danny Glover, Killing Tarantino, by Norman Lesperance, and the educational feature of Dalton Trumbo’s Johnny Got His Gun, with Ben McKenzie. During the last two years, he has designed 5 productions for South Coast Repertory, including the World Premieres of Dr. Cerberus by Roberto Aguirre Sacasa and Shipwrecked! by Pulitzer Prize winning Donald Margulies. He has designed more than a dozen shows for Falcon Theatre, including Happy Days the Musical and The Value of Names, starring Jack Klugman, for which he won a 2007 Ovation Award for Scenic Design. He is a co-recipient of the 2008 MAP Fund Grant, along with Laural Meade and Corey Madden for Rock Paper Scissors, produced at Arizona’s Childsplay. He was recently commissioned for Santa Monica’s biannual art event Glow, with a large scale video installation called Day for Night, along with producing partners, Corey Madden and Bruno Louchouarn. Keith is the Scenic Consultant for LA Philharmonic’s Summersounds Music for Kids , now in it’s 9th season at the Hollywood Bowl and a member of the Rogue Artists Ensemble. |
