Gideon Markham

Gideon's life in the entertainment industry began in Centennial Hall - a 2,500 seat theater in Tucson, Arizona. His experience there included stage lighting, rigging and sound mixing for numerous productions and companies, such as the Arizona Opera Company and Ballet Arizona. He has been turning on lights and moving them around on film and commercial sets in Los Angeles since 1994.

His television credits as a gaffer and lighting crew member include numerous shows for the production company 51 Minds, including The Surreal Life, Rock of Love and Charm School. His work on feature films has been quite diverse, ranging from the indie Albino Alligator directed by Kevin Spacey, to his recent work on blockbusters Iron Man 2 and Cowboys and Aliens. Gideon is also a sought after commercial gaffer having worked on hundreds of commercials in the United States and abroad.

For VOX BOX Arts Collective, Gideon has designed and created the lights, set, and sound for Jigsaw co-directed by Janice Markham and Irene Bedard and Gallery directed by Emmy Award winning designer Keith Mitchell. Additionally, Gideon edits the ½ hour interview program, Press for Democracy, which airs on Free Speech TV. Most recently, he co-produced and was virtually a one-man crew for the upcoming VOX BOX feature film collaboration with Magical Iguana Productions, Ron and Laura Take Back America.
